Tips & Tricks

Waxing

Wax regularly as over time the results will improve, hair growth will reduce and any remaining hair will become finer.
Plan in advance for your wax. Remember you will need to avoid tight clothing, fake tans, heat treatments, swimming, exercising or scented lotions on the area for 24 hours after your waxing.
If you have any concerns or questions, make sure to ask your therapist. They have lots of experience and helpful tips.
Exfoliate and mosturise regularly to keep skin super-smooth and to prevent ingrown hairs. If ingrown hairs continue to be a problem, Ingrown X-It can be purchased in the salon. This contains salicylic acid that unblocks the pores treating and preventing ingrown hairs. Alternatively, if the problem persists, laser treatment may be an option.

Tanning

Exfoliate the night before your tan application. Pay particular attention to rough skin areas like knees, elbows, ankles and the tops of your feet. Do not apply moisturiser or deoderant to your skin the day of your tanning.
Wear suitable clothing after tanning, we suggest loose dark clothes and flip-flops. Remember no bra or socks after your tan.
Let it dry - Once your tan is applied, do not wet your skin for at least 6 hours.
Shower the following morning. When you shower the guide colour will wash off but your now developed tan stays on the skin for the next week. Shower tip: if you can bring the shower nozzle down to the feet and shower upwards for the first few minutes, this will remove the guide colour evenly.
Do not exercise or perspire excessively between the tanning and the showering phase.
Apply moisturiser twice daily after showering. This reduces the rate at which your skin exfoliates and will keep your tan looking better for longer.
